I am NEVER going to take any last minute orders now.....decided!!! my sister's boss wanted me to make a set of 24 cupcakes for a meeting of interior decorators and that too in a day ..... i dunno y i agreed :P the quality of work really depreciates in haste...so they didnt turn out the way i intended but they werent tht bad either... but still...no last minutes orders for me anymore!!!

Six were themed rest were simply beautiful ....if i may say so myslef :)

Yet another order from my sister's office!! to prepare a Cat cake for a friend who is a cat person..well i tried ..and tadaaaaaaaaa.......and she loved it...so i am happy :)

Peach Crumble!

I was craving for a fruity delight and guess who came to my rescue ;)...yes Bakerella!!! (its like shes turning into my baking god fairy ) anyway ...so yea it was yummmmy!!! 

So, heres how it was made....
1. Emptied a can of peaches along with the syrup into a big glass dish.

 2. Added one cup all purpose flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 1 tsp baking power ...mixed them all together in a separate bowl and dumped them over the peaches.

3. Take 100gms butter (unslated) cut into cubes and spread over the dry layer.

4. Take 1/2 cup brown sugar, half cup chopped nuts (i used almonds and cashew nuts, you can use walnuts also), few white chocolate chips(optional) and sprinkle all over the dish.

 
 5. Preheat oven @180 degrees....bake for 40-60 mins....Voilllla.......yummilicious dessert readyy....so simple so easy an absolutely worth trying!

Take some out for neighbors.........

Sprinkle with nuts ..................

Garnish with Heavy Cream...................

and let the magic begin .....in your mouth i mean ;) !!

The princess Challenge ....

Well this cake...that you are about to see was a major challenge for me ...firstly because i had never in my life made an all fondant cake so i was quiet freaked out .... secondly.....the cake looked very difficult for a novice i kept on cursing myself for agreeing to make this cake ...
Anyway this is how it turned out..i liked it ....i hope the girl i made this for likes it too :)

Barney Cupcakes

As I had mentioned in my earlier post, that i have to execute alot many orders this month...alhumdullilah i have been able to complete and deliver two of them .....Barney was requested by hubby's friends' son .....so here it goes :)

Bakealicious Desserts!

SO i am going to take a break from decorating for sometime ....as this month is full of decorating requests and that is seriously making me gag now....too much fondant  around me ....ewwwe!!
 anyway so as i was saying that i'd be taking some time off from baking cakes & cookies ... but i will still be baking :D this time its going to be baked desserts!!! my husband is so lucky!!! the first thing i am dying to try is called Pavlova!!

I will be posting the recipe and then you guys can try it and please do send me the pictures of your attempts!!

Baking Block!

As the title says it all ...i am suffering from a major baking block since past 2 weeks ....reasons are many...my lil one is MashAllah growing up and getting more demanding by the day ....its just too hot in the kitchen....my wisdom tooths been giving me a hard time...blah blah blah.....excuses schmuses

but il be back very very soon as i have a few requests for cupcakes and 3 birthday cakes in the coming days which I HAVE to execute since ive promised to deliver .... i guess i am just a bit overwhelmed as well.


Lets see how & what i deliver :) for those who want to know what ill be doing in the next few days here's a peak into my schedule as per now ....

10th April -  Loooong time due ...Barney Cupcakes for a friend's sons
11th April - Pink Fondant covered Choclate fudge Cake with vanilla frosting .....Princess Belle on top (2D)
12th April.. A sweet husband wants me to make set of 9 charmed cupcakes .....according to her wife's fav and their special moments ...so sweet right :)
16th April . my kid brother's 18th bday ...he wants me to make a coconut cake ...theme....basketball ....
21st April...my sister office collegue's bday and they want me to make a CAT themed cake...

phew phew phew.....i am tired just by thinkin abt them ;) lets c what i end up producing ,,,,
